Fine arts educators are invited to spend the day with the mesmorizing Materials: Hard + Soft exhibit and take part in a FREE workshop led by art educators and practicing artists, Marie-Claire Valdez and Shoshana McIntosh. Participating educators will experience the exhibit through multi-sensory approaches and create collaborative mixed-media/sound artworks in response to works on display. The workshop will also include writing, drawing, movement, and sound exercises which can be used in any fine arts classroom to foster awareness and generate synesthetic-inspired expression. Registered participants will receive a free program kit and a 3-credit CPE certificate from the Onstead Institute (provider #061-501) for attending the workshop.
