Dallas ISD Summer Secondary Art Institute

June 14-16, 2016
The Onstead Institute organized a series of professional development workshops workshops led by CVAD faculty and graduate students and staff at the Crow Collection of Asian Art for Dallas ISD at the UNT Dallas campus for the district’s entire population of secondary art educators.

Topics and practices covered were shaped in conversation with Dallas ISD leadership and reflect scholarly and artistic strengths and research interests of CVAD faculty and students. Our ability to engage with teacher populations in such a direct manner greatly extends the Institute’s impact on the communities it serves, as these educators take what they’ve learned in the workshop sessions and apply them to curricula in their own classrooms.
